World Coordinators of the
World Women’s Conference of grassroot women

In 1910, Clara Zetkin, together with delegates from 17 countries, proclaimed International Women’s Day as a ‘day of struggle for equality and peace’ at the International Congress of Socialist Women in Copenhagen. In March 1915, the ‘International Socialist Women’s Conference against the War’ was held in Bern.
In 2022, the 3rd World Women’s Conference of grassroots women in Tunis with participants from 42 countries came to the far-sighted conclusion: ‘Imperialism leads to war and destroys our livelihoods’.
2025 On the back of an ongoing worldwide economic and financial crisis, the fascist threat is intensifying worldwide, as is the global environmental catastrophe and the threat of a third world war.
The election of the fascist and sexist Donald Trump in the USA marks a fundamental turning point. The Women’s March called for a protest demonstration against him in Washington. In the USA, Europe, Asia and Africa, worldwide fascist forces are in government or even in the presidency . The capitalist struggle for world markets and supremacy will lead to war and fascism – if the workers, the broad masses, do not stop it !
2025 Women are still paid less than men. Women are still responsible for keeping families alive, caring for the elderly and sick. Women are still victims of sexualised violence, feminicide, sexism and bullying in the workplace. The story of French woman Gisèle Pelicot, for example, went around the world – her husband had drugged her for years and offered her up for rape on internet forums. She became a heroine of the women’s movement in France thanks to her courage in publicly showing the videos of her rapes in the courtroom. ‘Shame must change sides’ went around the world. Her victory is a light, a symbol of resilience. We demand: ‘Only yes means yes’ must be included in sexual criminal law! LTGB+, trans people, gays and lesbian couples experience discrimination, including persecution, imprisonment and criminalisation. Islamist-fascist regimes exclude women and girls from social life, deny them education and training and imprison them. It is the double and triple exploitation and oppression of the mass of women, the sexualised and structural violence with all its disgusting faces by the biggest, patriarchal perpetrators of violence: the state and family systems of feudal, capitalist and imperialist countries.
The world women’s movement calls out to the women of the world:
Unite across ideological boundaries, from religion to revolution, on an anti-fascist basis. The destructive, demoralising and divisive ideas of those in power must lose their power over the people! Take responsibility! Organise yourselves, be seeds for an anti-fascist united front. Stand up for peace and a future worth living in, in which the liberation of women becomes a reality. Fascism is the most brutal, most aggressive imperialist form of rule of international finance capital. Expose the true face of fascism. Explain its roots and aims.
Make 8 March a day of struggle for the world women’s movement against fascism and war and for equal rights, emancipation and the liberation of women!
